The owners of the apartment wanted a black interior with industrial elements. Designer Markéta Daňková decided on a complete facelift using noble materials that give the interior a timelessness.
The designer greatly appreciated the pleasant layout of the new 3+kk apartment, which the childless couple and dog owners bought after returning from abroad. The apartment has strictly divided zones into a social area, which offers a hallway, toilet, living area with access to a glass terrace, and a private area with a smaller hallway, bathroom and two rooms.
In the first phase, the designer replaced the switches, handles, and faucets and designed a suspended ceiling with a metal industrial structure for the living area to hide the electrical installation needed to illuminate all zones of the living space, including the so-called dead spots, which are the pitfalls of non-traditional room shapes, in this case a trapezoid. Ramps with spotlights, which are also in the hallway, turned out to be a good choice.
„What I would especially appreciate about this project is that the client handed over the keys and gave me great trust and relative freedom. I was pleased that he agreed to use uncompromising materials. Although some trends may be felt in the interior, the materials used will sustain the interior in the longer term, because they are very timeless,“ says the designer in conclusion.
